Over £10,800…

Last year Hands On Helping gave away over £10,800 to charity though their unique campaign ‘Pounds For Pledges’. For every new pledge they received £1.00 was also given to the donors chosen charity. The campaign was administered by Charities Trust and Charitable Giving, two of the main Payroll Giving Agencies in the country. For more information please visit.

http://www.charitiestrust.org/.

http://www.charitablegiving.co.uk/

A Payroll Giving Scheme allows companies and colleagues to work together in showing support for good causes. Donations can be made direct from salary, to ANY charity or good cause. Charities receive donations tax free, meaning donations cost less for the giver, and the charity gets the benefit of the full amount straight away.

This year Hands On Helping will be giving away double i.e. £2.00 per pledge received, on all new business, through their ‘Pounds For Pledges’ Campaign.

Hands On Helping are the only Professional Fundraising Organization to have this unique initiative, in addition to giving good value to their charity clients as they are one of the most competitively priced PFO’s in the market place.

Graziella Campisano, Corporate Responsibility Engagement Manager said:-

“One of the reasons we chose to work with Hands On, was their added incentive, ‘Pounds For Pledges’, which showed true commitment and individuality. Our launch of our Payroll Giving Scheme has been a huge success, in conjunction with Charitable Giving, and we look forward to continuing our working relationship with Hands On this year.”

Hands On Helping today launched a new initiative, Pounds for Pledges.

Hands On promotes Payroll Giving to over 800 companies and over 45 exclusively. From today, for every donation pledged through company Payroll Giving Schemes, Hands On will donate a pound to the individual’s chosen charity.

Hands On Helping, established in 1995, is the longest standing PFO in the UK and has raised over £15 million for charity to date. It is the first and only PFO to be making donations in this way. The National Payroll Giving Award-winner this month launched Pounds for Pledges to emphasize its support for the dedication and continuous hard work of over 85 charities that it represents.

Wendy Tapping, Chief Executive of Hands On said: “We are delighted to be contributing back to the third sector. We want to highlight the benefits of supporting charity through a Payroll Giving Scheme. An extra £900 million could be made every year for charities if all donations were made this way.”

Jasmin Rana, Donor Marketing Officer at Alzheimer’s Society said: “Payroll Giving has shown itself to be one of the most effective ways for people and companies to donate to Alzheimer’s Society. Pounds for Pledges promise to boost the profile of this simple, easy scheme that provides us with reliable contributions. I hope employers across the UK give the campaign their fullest support.”

Hands On Helping will be promoting Pounds for Pledges nationwide within all companies they visit.
